Happy Easter lovely bloggy people!
Are you all having a lovely day? Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend as much as you can.
I had today off work, with the Supermarket I work at actually being closed. I felt really thrown out with being off work, and with the clocks changing.
I'm quite looking forward to a bit more daylight. I do enjoy sitting all cosy and covered up in an evening, with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. But I always miss daylight.
Going to work when it's dark, coming home when it's dark.
I finally got around to taking photographs of a couple of makes that I did whilst I didn't have a laptop. It's great to actually finish a project instead of having half finished ones lying around.
My very first Granny Square Blanket..
I decided to do one giant one, rather than several pieced together. As I'm only just getting my head around crochet. I found a video on youtube of how to crochet a granny square, and off I went.
I enjoyed making it so much, that I decided to do another one in pastel-y colours..
Although, now I have a laptop again, this one isn't quite finished. I keep intending to sit down and get a bit more done, but I keep getting distracted by pinterest and blogs. Bad Hannah. I must try harder to resist the internet.
I wanted a patchwork cushion to just throw onto the bed, so I made this one out of some lovely fabrics I had bought a while ago.
I had kept them for ages, and just kept looking at them as I didn't want to cut them up. I took a deep breath and eventually cut the first bit of fabric, and ended up here.
Does anyone else just want to hoard fabric? Some of it is just too pretty to cut up. It feels a bit like a crime to cut into it.
This isn't a very good photo, I apologise. It was just a quick snap before it got sent on its way to its new owner. I do love making little baby quilts :)
I've started to make a quilt for my bed, but I'm having a little trouble with it at the moment.
I've got all the patchwork top part done. It's just the pinning it together and sewing through all the layers on my machine. I don't have a table big enough to do it properly. I only sew on a fold away TV table, as my flat is really quite small.
So it's folded in the bedroom for now. Hopefully I will be able to get around to it one day.
Anyway, there are a few of the makes I enjoyed doing whilst being without a laptop.
I'mm thinking of making a rule where I stay offline for one day a week or something, and just craft.
I do really love coming online and reading lots of blogs, and it really helps with my creativity. But I can really get lost online, and the time seems to go so fast.
I'm not the only one who does this, am I?
Anyway, I've said it already, but I am so glad to be back!
Happy Easter everyone.
